I listened to a lot of music.

I cried a little.

I wrote a letter.

I now feel a little bit better.

Today was just not my day.

Definitely time for some sleep.

[If you remember, I’d really appreciate some prayers for encouragement. Thanks.]

I haven’t uploaded my photos for my 52 weeks project since like the first week of December. That is horrible. I really want to get caught up some time this week. Will someone please verbally slap me if I don’t get that done?

K, thanks.

Here’s my list of books I’d like to read within the next month or so:

  • Living as People of Hope by Jeff Fountain
  • Live Like You Mean It by T.J. Addington
  • Seven by Jen Hatmaker
  • Relentless Hope by Beth Guckenberger

I’d also like to finish these books that I’ve started but haven’t gotten all the way through:

  • Reckless Faith by Beth Guckenberger
  • Stuff Christians Like by Jonathan Acuff
  • Funding Your Ministry by Scott Morton

Looks like I’ve got my work cut out for me. We’ll see how many of these I can cross off the list by the end of the month. Goals are good to have, right? Even if they’re a bit unrealistic…

  • Start laundry
  • Clean room (?)
  • Babysitting interview at 3:30
  • Check out Party City/Halloween store for costume ideas (talk about last minute)
  • Go to Best Buy to get Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto and Foster the People’s Torches
  • Work on support letter

Man, I’ve got a lot to do today! Time to get started. First thing’s first: I need to straighten my hair!

Well, nothing productive, that’s for sure.

I DID just look through all of the photo booth pictures I’ve taken since getting my computer almost 2 years ago. They made me laugh. Some of them are quite funny. =] I should make a slideshow of all of them… But not tonight. It is most certainly time for bed.

Goodnight, tumblrverse! I LOVE YOU!

[Leave me a funny photo booth pic and I’ll leave you one in return!]

Thank you, Lord!

It’s for a homeschooling family too. How fitting! =] I really hope it works out!

And I’d really appreciate some prayer.

I had one of the worst days of work ever today. I REALLY need a new job. And I’m incredibly stressed out already. I don’t know how I’m going to get done all the things I need to do within the amount of time I have to do them.

Please send me some hugs or something happy/funny or let me know you’re praying for me. Thank you. <3

Which is a sign that it is definitely time for me to go to bed. [It happens when I get really tired. Don’t ask me why! I don’t understand it either!]

Goodnight!

Of all these friends of mine road-tripping it this summer. I’m starting to consider going to visit my friend Laine in North Carolina. I would not want to go alone though. Hmm. Thoughts to think about…

With that Classic DiSC profile. I took it 6 times and nothing. So the lady I emailed about it basically upgraded me to a more elaborate profile and it finally worked for me. YAY!

If you know nothing about the DiSC assessment, check it out here. According to my assessment, I have an iS style personality: primarily i, leaning toward S. Some of you are probably bored to tears already, but I find it fascinating [being a psych major and all] and enjoyed studying my 20 page result document. =]

Now, all that is left in my missions application process is to make sure all of my references are in and submit a photo of myself. Then I’ll be DONE! Photo shoot tomorrow. =] I’m so excited to be moving on to the next steps with all of this. Stay tuned for updates!

Great. I’m weird. They can’t even fit my personality into a profile. *head desk*

So, today, I bought the Wow Hymns cd at work.

Last week at Bible study, we asked the girls to think about what their love language with God is. Figuring out what it is was their “homework” for the week. So I’ve been thinking about it myself this week and more and more I realize how God speaks to me through music. There’s just something so powerful about song that brings me closer to Him. It’s fresh and raw and beautiful.

Now, there are plenty of songs out there that sound like everything else and don’t touch my heart. But the ones that do, the ones with lyrics that feel like they’ve come straight from my heart, those are the ones that resonate with my soul. It’s like they bring out from within me things that words cannot say, speaking worship to my Lord through sound.

Hymns in particular bring me to that place a lot and I think that’s why I love them so much.

Be thou my vision, oh, Lord of my heart.

Beginning the first stages of packing for the weekend. My goal now is to finish planning my devotional that I’m supposed to give on Friday morning before heading to bed.

Still lots to do before getting to church tomorrow by 1PM, but I’m excited. Youth Mission Outreach 2011, here we come! [And here’s hoping that the tshirts are better this year! lol.]

- Laundry and prep for youth mission outreach weekend [I’m chaperoning]
- Get mom to help me with my missions application paperwork [SO MANY QUESTIONS]
- Doctor’s appointment [have to have a physical for the paperwork]
- Maybe a haircut?
- Pop in at work to get next week’s schedule and get my half off book for the month
- Pack and stuff

I’d better go to bed! Goodnight, loves!

Edit: I didn’t do very well with my list today. =/ Time to stay up late prepping for this weekend!!!

My camera remote has been my favorite thing so far. I have no idea why I never ordered one of these before! It’s going to be so handy!

My wide angle/macro lens attachment is pretty cool. I’m kind of wishing that I had gotten the fisheye attachment instead, but I can do that later. These attachments are pretty cheap, so no regrets there.

The bokeh kit has been a bit disappointing. I’ve only been able to get it to sort of work with my telephoto lens. I’m going to mess with it a bit more tomorrow to see if I can get some better results.

Overall I’m pretty happy though, and I think I’ll be able to get some fun effects while at the beach next week! =] Still waiting on my FM transmitter to arrive. It should be in some time next week I think.
